Mary Cann’s Fruit Bread Loaf

As you know, because of the pandemic, we have not been able to have our usual sales of baked goods at our fundraising events, and we also miss our baked treats by Mary Cann in the parlour following every Sunday service. If you are in "fruit bread withdrawal" and have a craving for Mary's famous fruit bread loaf, we have a solution! Mary has been busy baking her large fruit bread loaves, and has some loaves ready in the freezer.

We are selling them for the usual price of $12 each, and all proceeds go to our fundraising efforts, as they do at all of our Bake Sale tables. Please contact Pauline if you are interested.

Thank you Mary for providing a way to continue our "Bake Table" fundraiser!!!

“60 seconds of gratitude”
by Heather Walton

Smile, it adds face value!
Take a walk
Or sit still...yes you can be!

Breathe
Take a stroll through the woods
Give as you see a need, planting seeds of kindness
Find beauty in the ordinary and extraordinary

Notice your thoughts
Are you building up or tearing down?
Laugh with someone...anyone

Do something you love
Do something you dislike as if you really did like it...you know...dust😳
Nap...yes really!

Look for the opportunity to live out joy
Affirmations- I am loved, I am well, I can begin again,
I am strong, I am not alone, I am ok

Find someone lonely to visit
Set a daily goal
Remember a beautiful moment

Sprinkler? Ha.. you know what to do!
Colour
Road trip?

Learn something new
Dance, throw back your head and laugh, dance, sing
Spend time with a joyful soul or pet

Imagine this is the happiest day ever
Or, are you a bit sad?
Sit a moment with it and wait...clouds always move on
You are loved and we are never alone.

How grateful I am for each of you!

A message from St Paul’s Social Services Food Bank

In these very challenging times for our Community, St. Paul's Social Services Food Bank continues to provide support Monday to Friday for our most vulnerable people: families, people who are homeless, seniors and people living with many health concerns.

We are open from 9 am to 11:30 am and distribute hampers of fresh eggs, skim milk powder, bread, canned goods and produce as it is available.

During this time of isolation and closed churches, we are finding that our donations of non-perishable goods has really decreased.

Jean Comrie has kindly offered to organize deliveries of food to St. Paul's Social Services. Please call Jean at 519 657-4782 to arrange a non-contact pick-up (mornings are best)

Thank you, from all of us at St. Paul's Social Services! Your support is greatly appreciated.

Barbara Symington,

Manager SPSS
